The much awaited Peter Som For Designation at Kohls collection is now available in stores. I checked out the line in person today at in NYC and came away liking most of the pieces. While I love the laidback vibe of this line, I wasn’t too thrilled with the fit and cut of some of the maxis and dresses.
The striped maxi which was a huge must have on my list during the previews, was a let down in person. The fabric is too thin and clingy for my liking and it doesn’t look expensive for the price point (on sale for $58, originally priced $78). Also the solid black or indigo version, looks better than the colorful one. I definitely suggest you try it out in store, before making a decision. I decided to skip it.

From the line of dresses, the halter blue post card print maxi was a clear winner for me (on sale for $58, originally priced $78). With it’s sheer panel and trademark print, it looks chic and has a great, flowy fit – perfect for the pool or the beach! If you’re going to invest in only piece from this collection, I suggest, you opt for either this maxi or the V-neck post card print sweatshirt (on sale for $37.50, originally priced $50).

The soft pants with a quirky pineapple print and the slubbed pineapple tank are winners too. I adore these pants and my store was sold out in my size and the sales assistant told me they don’t plan to re-stock in store, unless they have returns. I ordered the pants online in a medium and can’t wait to rock them this summer!

Most of the collection except for the pants which run a tad large is pretty true to size. I also love the Tie-Dye shirt dress in the pictures, but the length didn’t quite work out when I tried it.

I also love the Jadorable striped tee, but I’m going to wait for it to hit clearance. Which are your favorite pieces from this collection? Let me know in the comments below and scroll down for more pictures.

I loved so many! Great review Kapps. The pineapple print pants were awesome but I’m waiting for clearance. See my post for what I bought and tried on too 🙂
