There’s something vaguely voyeuristic and satisfying about witnessing winter trends on a balmy, summer day. And I got this fabulous feeling last week. On June 11, New York’s Hudson Studios was transformed into a show stopping runway for Snow Magazine’s, third annual fashion show.
Presenting key trends for Winter 2013/14, were some of the best ski and luxury fashion labels such as Bogner, Alp n Rock, M. Miller, Skea, UGG, Snow Sugar, Vitamin A, Bergans of Norway, Freyja, Gorski and Nicole Miller.
Here’s a recap of some of the trends presented on the runway that I loved:
- Watch out for bright pops of neon, bright reds, pinks and yellow this winter. Snow Sugar and Skea kept it trendy and bright.
- Be sporty on the slopes, with a luxe touch. Alp n Rock, Sportlam, Rossignol mixed sportswear with luxury and presented some immensely wearable collections.
- Exaggerated collars and fur hoodies add to drama — M. Miller and Ugg kept it fabulous, staying true to their spirit.
- Being feminine and classical is always in – Nicole Miller’s collection was an epitome of that.
