Around Town: Wallis A/W 2013 Press Preview

Recently I attended the Fall 2013 preview of British high street brand Wallis at Bryant Park Hotel in New York. I’m a huge fan of of the brand since my grad school days in Scotland – it’s uber chic and looks very high end without breaking the bank.

This fall, Wallis debuts a limited edition collection “W” that has easy to wear knit’s, structured coats and luxe jackets. I’m absolutely in love with the outerwear from this line and can’t to score this fabulous white knee length wool coat later this year.

Love this!

Combining runway trends with affordability and giving it a luxe touch - that's what's unique about the brand.

This tuxedo blazer from the ‘W’ line is a personal favorite

Sital Mehta, senior head designer of Wallis, told me that the brand translates runway trends for today’s woman, who loves high fashion, looks for versatility in her clothes, but is not a slave to fashion. Sticking to this mantra, the line has structured silhouettes with classic cuts, priced mostly under $100 for the regular collection and the ‘W’ pieces will be under $200.

Wallis also had some pieces from its current Spring/Summer 2013 collection on display consisting of laid back separates in bold colors, bohemian maxis and gypsy prints. Like anything you see?
